The real ancestry of the hybrid strain Blueberry, which leans indica, is unknown. The origins of this strain may be traced back to the infamous American breeder DJ Short, who started experimenting with a number of landrace strains in the early 1970s before producing this delicious strain. We can never be sure, but Purple Thai and Afghan are thought to be its ancestors. Notwithstanding this, it is among the most popular strains on the market and took up the 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup Best Indica award for its strong effects and mouthwatering blueberry vanilla flavor.
